MOO Club

Hi all, we have just released the list of wines for the 2010 membership of our MOO Club and there is outstanding value top be had. For delivery in March we will feature the pre release of 2008 Chestnut Garth Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is ripe, luscious, chocolaty, and smooth right to the end of the long palate. 3 Bottles allows you to drink one now and put the others away. Our 2009 Sauvignon Blanc won Silver at the Orange wine show (2 bottles) and we found a bottle of 2003 Simon Gilbert Shiraz deep in the cellar to share with you.

Black Shiraz from 2006 has been discontinued at cellar door so we are keeping a small stash just for MOO club members. 2006 Jules* has also been included as has our ever popular Autumn Series Chardonnay. If you haven't joined please fill out the attached membership and return it to us at the above address. You receive a Harvest dozen in March and a Budburst dozen in October. This gives you access to wines not available to the public. Other benefits are listed on the application form.

Membership also entitles you to 20% discount on wines purchased during the year either at our cellar door or over the internet. There is NO joining fee.

New Facilities!!!

We are in the process of building a commercial kitchen and function room at our cellar door with the plan to cater for weekend lunchtime trade and functions. The facility will seat up to 50 people and have cutting edge light, sound and audio visual facilities. We are open from 11.00 - 5.00 pm every weekend and public holiday.

FOOD Week

We will be open every day during FOOD week from April 9 to 18. The festivities kick off with the Night Markets in Cook Park on Friday 9th. On the 10th we will hold our Autumn Harvest celebration with local gourmet food, music and wine tasting under the trees in the school yard. We will also have coffee, cake, cheese platters, softdrinks for the kids and there's always a coldie in the fridge to quench a big thirst. The Sunday sees our 5th annual Blessing of the Harvest, a non denominational church service of thanks giving for the fruits of the harvest (and life). 10am.

Vintage

The weather this vintage has been mixed with hot winds, dry spells followed by downpours and chilly southerly changes. Exciting is a word that springs to mind when we walk around the vineyard tasting the fruit. We left the canopy down to protect from sunburn and it looks to have paid off. Perfectly clean fruit which is deepening in colour and flavour as the ripening progresses. Bring on the fat lady!

Julie and I would like to thank our loyal customers in the central west and abroad. We recommend you join the MOO Club as we now have quite a cellar of aged wines that will produce nice surprises in the years to come. Please come out to see what we have done with the school house and enjoy our hospitality.
