2009 Chestnut Garth (Black) Shiraz

Dark red with purple hues. The nose has strong black pepper spice notes over ripe blackberry Shiraz characters. These fruit characters are enhanced by vanillin and cigar box notes from the use of French and American oak. The palate has rich fruit flavours, is well balanced with a firm persistent finish. More a friend than a wine.
