LIVE MUSIC AT MORTIMERS CELLAR DOOR
BLESSING OF THE HARVEST
On Saturday 22 April, the Parliament of NSW and Mortimer’s Wines will be hosting a very special degustation dinner, giving people the opportunity to find out what it’s like to stroll along those corridors of power and to wine and dine in Australia’s first and oldest Parliament.
The exclusive event is part of a new series of dining events planned by NSW Parliamentary Catering and open to anyone with an interest in fine dining, fine wine and NSW politics, history and culture. Guests will enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the Fountain Court before proceeding to a degustation dinner in the Strangers’ Dining Room. Created by awarded Head Chef, David Learmonth, the menu will be paired with an exceptional selection of wine from Mortimer’s.
Tickets are priced at $180 per person, and can be booked by contacting Julie Mortimer on
02 6365 8513 or by email to email@example.com.
“It’s an opportunity for members of the community to experience a fine dining experience quite unlike anything they’ve tried before,” said Philip Freeman, Director of Parliamentary Catering. “Our menus use the finest ingredients grown and produced right here in NSW and they will be superbly paired with Mortimer’s wines; an exceptional NSW vineyard.”
Mortimer’s Wines recently engaged in a trade agreement sending premium Orange region wines to Chengdu, Xi’an and Shanghai in China.
A statement from Mortimer’s says “Peter and Julie Mortimer would like to recognise Destination NSW and Tradestart, in their effort to assist the local wine industry to grow both here and overseas. This event will showcase our ability to compete in the international marketplace.”
